About Us
Avenor Senior High School was established in November, 2016 as a community day school. It was initially known as Avenorpeme Community Day Senior High School. The Paramount Chief Togbui Dorglo Anumah VI on 22 February, 2017 wrote on behalf of the three Wings Chiefs, Torgbuiwo, Mamawo and the people of Avenorpeme and Avenor Traditional Area as a whole for the change of name to AVENOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
The school land was donated by Elders of Sesime on one hand and Elders of Kovenu on the other all of Avenorpeme within the Avenor Traditional Area. There were six teachers to start with four programmes on offer. That is General Science, Agriculture, General Arts and Business. Since its inceptions, Avenorsec has had two Heads
We are resolved to make the school an excellent centre for knowledge acquisition at all times in Ghana and beyond.
The Mission of the school is to harness the limited resources available at our disposals; to make of our students morally upright men and women.

The Motto of the school is “Susu Mee Ngoryiyi le”.
